The Long boat shed and the ships outside the museum are open daily. The Naval Museum´s main building will open on July 13th, the submarine hall and the wreck tunnel will be closed during summer 2020.

The museum can trace its inception to 1752 and relates the history of the Swedish Navy. Amid the historical setting of the island of Stumholmen in Karlskrona. The Naval Museum stretches out on a pier into the water.

Both young and old can here delve into the highly eventful history of the Swedish Navy on the site which has belonged to the Swedish Armed Forces for several centuries.

Note! The submarine hall will be closed during summer 2020! HMS Neptun is a submarine for real. Climb onboard and experience the mysterious life of a submarine in the new exhibition at the museum. Next to the Vasa ship in Stockholm, the submarine is the largest built in object in Sweden.
