In May each year, the World Heritage, the Örlogstaden Karlskrona and most exciting environments in Blekinge, become a meeting place for all the world's writers. In beautiful premises, poets, philosophers, scientists and political activists encounter the public in rewarding conversations and debates.
Book and sea - The Karlskrona International Literature Festival was first held in 2017 by the author Katarina Mazetti. It was an immediate success, praised by the participants, loved by the audience - a meeting place for the spoken word. The festival takes place in exciting environments and premises, is open to everyone and visitors can choose between different entrance possibilities. The various program items are in Swedish, English or other Nordic languages.
In the 2019 edition, the third in the scheme, we offer author talks, readings and music that give new perspectives on both Book and Sea - in the broadest sense.
One of the authors this year is Klaus-Jürgen Lietke
Liedtke is primarily known as a translator, but is currently highly regarded as the editor of the practice work Die Ostsee - Berichten und Geschichten from 2000 years, Baltic Sea reports and stories through 2000 years.
The event Bok & Hav takes place on May 10-12. Information about time and place will be announced later.
